Growing our Local Economy:

Our SME members provide employment, are key local national employers, pay local and national taxes and further support the local economy through buying services and materials, where possible, locally. Through their Chamber membership they connect with other SME businesses, state services and with corporate businesses. They receive the Chamber’s support in ensuring their business voice is heard relating to fair taxation, service charges and other issues affecting business. As part of the Chamber, your business will grow and so will the local economy.

Being a part of our Community:

The Chamber offers our SMEs the opportunity to connect to many of the voluntary groups, schools and community organisations in our county. We highlight the important contribution made by our SMEs to the community, the career opportunities available and why they are a good place to work. We connect our SME members when asked to the right school, voluntary or community group when they wish to extend their connectivity through staff involvement or direct funding. Through your membership of the Chamber, you will be supporting our local community to grow and develop.

We further support our SME Members through:

  • Training, the majority of which is subsidised, our training is informed by our members so please let us know what you need and we will see how best we can accommodate you. Please see the training section on this website for more information.
  • Educational Seminars are a good way to keep your knowledge base up to date. Our seminars cover all the key topics of interest and normally last half a day. Some of the subjects covered include HR, Mediation, Trade with other countries, Taxation and Leadership.
  • Business Sustainability Programme, This is a programme we run in partnership with South Dublin County Council and South Dublin LEO. It offers all SMEs in the county the opportunity to have a meeting with the programme executive Cliodhna O’Byrne on issues of concern or interest regarding their business development. From these meetings Cliodhna is often able to connect you to a person or state agency that can help your business grow.
  • Chamber B2B Network; the Chamber runs a specific network for SMEs which is all part of your membership. Our B2B Network hosts 75 meetings in Citywest and Lucan each year some meeting weekly the other bi-weekly on the website you will see the dates and venues. The purpose of our B2Bs is too help you grow and develop your business with the help and support of other like-minded business people
